Janey Summer – Time Will Tell single review
If you ever heard Janey Summer sing, it would be hard not to ignore it. Her booming and powerful voice is something of a gift to Janey and on her new single Time Will Tell, it’s presented to us in a special way.
The a-side, Time Will Tell, is fantastic. Melodic rock with a fantastic voice to back it up with. But what does the single justice is the b-side On My Own Again, it’s heavier and Janey’s voice connects with the music perfectly. It’s a proper rock song. Female rock n’ roll is back in swing and you better believe it. Janey Summer shows that the women can compare with the men.
As her voice booms out of the speakers “Here I am again..”, it’s hard not to notice that she is there. Why she isn’t everywhere is a myth though. Summer has a voice that could fill arenas. It’s a speciality to have a voice as good as hers and why thousands more people aren’t hearing it right now is something quite odd. With an EP to follow this year, Time Will Tell is just a teaser – and what a teaser it is.
